One Sentence Description

Randomly generated creatures evolve and learn to walk.

About

This was supposed to be a shooter, where you shoot peacefully evolving creatures with machine guns. But I didn't finish, and the creatures turned out a lot more cute than dangerous anyway. It's kind of fun to watch them learn to walk.

All organisms are randomly generated, at first. They live for only one minute. Their goal is to touch the glowing green thing all the way over on the right side before time runs out. If they touch it, they win, and live to breed a new generation of organisms. If they don't, they die. After some time, and many generations later, the organisms will evolve into a super race of organisms that are really good at walking to the right.

Karl Sims' project is the inspiration, from all the way back in 1994 (same year portishead released their first album?), and his creatures were 3d! If you haven't already seen his stuff, this video is required viewing.

Trouble shootting

You need OpenGL, and windows, and make sure to keep the files in their directories when unzipping.
